Regional Manager, February 2001 to May 2009

 

§         Administrative supervision of 11 to 13 inspection stations, 28 managers, 190 union employees.

§         Directed and coordinated daily activities of regional centralized inspection facilities.

§         Analyzed and appraised performance effectiveness of inspection station management and staff.

§         Communicated with NJDOT and/or NJDEP staff to coordinate activities that ensured organizational compliance with contractual requirements.

§         Created quality control program that improved business processes, which reduced customer wait times in addition to operating under the allotted monetary budget for the

region.  Established component for the Southern Region Quality Assurance program.  

§         Performed inventory inspection and audits of facilities/grounds, equipment, and sticker control inventory.

§         Drafted and implemented Standard Operating Procedures for control of NJ state inspection sticker inventory.

§         Maintained safe work environment in inspection stations by facilitating measures with station management to reduce employee accident and injury rates by conducting weekly

employee safety meetings to improve station safety records.

§         Scheduled work assignments of managers in inspection stations to ensure proper staffing for various traffic volumes.

§         Conducted performance reviews of managers.  Responsible for making salary adjustment recommendations for the Region.

§         Investigated customer inquiries, comments or complaints and prepared written draft responses.

§         Improved customer service by reducing 87 percent of customer complaints.  Analyzed employee customer service processes.  Created and implemented new work plan

to enhance employee customer skills.
