Major Projects & Accomplishments

 

  At Westampton PSG (department of the New Jersey Department of Labor’s One-StopCareerCenter), guided the establishment of a viable self-help employment (Job Seeking and networking) office and facility.  Designed and developed automation solutions for non technical computer users access to the Computer environments for Job Seeking and Networking plus established hands on training to refresh and created necessary job skills.

 

  Established my own affiliate based ISP (Internet Service Provider) and Web Site Sales and Hosting service. (www.websites-4-u.net)

 

  At Talon Network Services in ReadingPA. Established a computer billing system for the management and billing of the customer base.  This included the creation and mailing of monthly service bills.  Maintain the Microsoft hosted customer sites and assisted with the Linux hosted customer site.  Managed the Hardware repair and installing needs.  Provided technical advice to web developers and our internet user base.

 

  At Microproducts Center in Huntingdon Valley, PA. (Later V V Group and OPUS Systems of Hatboro, PA.) Installed and maintained a 20-station network which managed the complete Micro Computer and products wholesale business thru a customized Database Application.  I maintained the workstations, the Novell network, the PBX phone system (supporting 30 lines), call monitoring system, product-manufacturing department, customer support department, and Laser printer repairs. I provided marketing research for new products and product lines. 

 

  At Sperry Univac – Customer Service, Established a 5-year strategy plan to improve Customer perception of Customer Support services.  I developed a support plan for the incorporation of 3rd party software products into the automated support process.

 

  At Sperry Univac – Product Development, As a programmer/Program Analyst, I implemented 50% of the Business Systems COBOL Compilers.  As a Group Manager, I managed the deployment of a single (common source) Cobol compiler onto 4 similar architecture product lines and 2 foreign architecture product lines (all certified and within budgets).  I managed the development of the Business Systems RPG product line.
