Why Join PSG

Here are some Testimonials from prior Burlington County PSG members (These are members that got jobs)

PSG was invaluable. I changed careers totally and it was the PSG group that helped me to have the courage to do so.  They always say that when one door closes another opens and that is certainly my case.  It was PSG and specifically Jack Bland who helped me to see the new door. PSG was a great experience and in the beginning one of the main things that kept me going.  It helped me to have hope and act upon that hope.

I would have been lost without Jack and the PSG Group.    I was crushed after being laid off and the positive attitudes and energy of the group, their support and comfort and understanding, all helped me to not only cope with the struggle of looking for work for the first time in 23 years, but helped me to rediscover my confidence and courage to overcome the challenges of redefining myself and finding a new and rewarding career.   I couldn't have made it through those 8 months without them!

My experience at PSG was very uplifting and helpful in my past job search activities.  PSG provided not only the environment to facilitate my job search process, and opportunities to meet with other job seekers, but provided challenges to develop myself through involvement in it's meetings and activities.  Every time I think of the Burlington County PSG the thoughts of how beneficial it was and still is comes to mind and I intend to maintain close contact with it throughout my days, and to recommend it to others.

Being surrounded by positive people actively seking work ,and helping one another do the same, was uplifting during a difficult time. Also, workshops, help with resumes, and computer access was helpful, too. Many thanks!

PSG provided a great opportunity to network and share leads and contact info for my target companies and industries. And it was helpful to see that there were so many other people looking for a job, that we were "all in the same boat", and that we should help and encourage each other. Jack Bland did a great job in providing a positive, helpful and supportive environment for all of us.

Many people were helpful in making comments on resumes, elevator speeches, and writing cover letters.  Also very helpful to go through mock job interview process.

PSG was very helpful in providing new ideas for resume writing, interviewing techniques and also speaking with other individuals in the same position of unemployment for a very long time. Keep up the great work.

PSG is a wonderful group and was extremely helpful during my search. It provided timely tools, information and constant encouragement.

The PSG was the best thing I ever did.  Not only did I learn so much more about writing resumes, dealing with interviews but I met some of the best people there that are turning out to be long time friends. I am not working now, call it semi-retirement but am looking for probably part time work.

PSG is a wonderful place to hone one's job search skills, research the market and network with a diverse group of professionals.

My experience with PSG will be a lasting experience.  I was in a position that many people find themselves in: first time unemployed, difficult returning to full-time employment and realizing that I need to brush up on interview skills and resume writing.  PSG was very helpful because the very skills I needed were being offered at PSG and many other sources provided at my finger tips.  Thanks to Jack Bland for orchestrating such a wonderful program and not just being another state employee but someone who cares and is concerned.
